Zojuist heeft de Resource Alliance, organisator van het International Fundraising Congress (IFC) bekend gemaakt dat Vicky Annis is benoemd als nieuwe voorzitter van de Resource Alliance. Daarmee neemt zij het stokje over van Jan Krol.
Vicky heeft meer dan 25 jaar ervaring bij verschillende organisaties als de NHS (National Health Services UK), Trinity College London, en Merlin. Maar ook binnen de lokale en centrale overheid van het Verenigd Koninkrijk. Momenteel is ze Director of Finance en Corporate Resources bij England Netball. Daarnaast is ze ook lid van de Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, alsmede een alumni van de Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators. Sinds 2009 is ze als trustee en treasurer betrokken bij de Resource Alliance.
Tijdens het IFC, dat momenteel in volle gang is in Noordwijkerhout, zei zij het volgende: "It is an absolute honour to be appointed Chair of the Resource Alliance. With a new strategy on the horizon, it is an exciting time for us as an organisation and I am looking forward to supporting the team in delivering even more of an impact for our extensive global network of fundraisers".
Over de nieuwe voorzitter had Kyla Shawyer, interim CEO van de Resource Alliance het volgende te zeggen: "We are delighted that Vicky has been appointed as chair. Her knowledge and expertise will have a vital role to play in helping the Resource Alliance continue to build fundraising skills, capacity and sustainability around the world." Daarnaast bedankte ze ook Jan Krol, zoals zij zelf zei: "for his inspirational leadership and guidance, which has been critical in enabling us to strengthen our impact and make a real and lasting difference to the organisations and individuals we work with."
